Dear Illinois Tech Staff and Faculty,
We are implementing some changes to the performance evaluation process this year. In the past, we used the PeopleAdmin system, which has proven to be unreliable as performance reviews are not its primary function. This year we will be transitioning to paper forms. The new process is outlined on our Performance Evaluations page and summarized below. Additionally, the timeline for reviews will shift to October. This timing will allow for maximum participation, as it falls between academic breaks and avoids the start and end of the semester. We will also be incorporating the merit increase process at the conclusion of the reviews.
Historical reviews will remain accessible via the PeopleAdmin site, and reviews will be stored in each employee’s HR file. Instructions for accessing past reviews on PeopleAdmin are still available on the Performance Evaluations page.
Thank you for your participation in this important process. Performance evaluations are vital for both employees and managers, providing a meaningful opportunity to discuss the past year, offer feedback and recognition, celebrate successes, identify areas for improvement, review progress toward goals, and clarify future expectations.
