David Schalliol, visiting assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences, and Michael Carriere have created an exhibition of photographs and histories entitled “Working Legacies: The Death and (After) Life of Post-Industrial Milwaukee.” The collection highlights both Milwaukee’s industrial facilities and its emerging forms of work, placing new and old side by side. By observing Milwaukee’s industrial past and present, the exhibit aims to set the groundwork for its future. “Working Legacies” will be held at the Grohmann Museum Milwaukee School of Engineering from December 16, 2011 -February 6, 2012. Schalliol and Carriere will be hosting a Gallery Talk at 7 pm on January 20, 2012 at the museum.
