An academic highlight on IIT Main Campus each semester is the Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Day. This year, IPRO Day takes place this Friday, November 22, 2013. Exhibits will be open from 10 am–1 pm in Hermann Hall.
IIT faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in this event and show their support to the fall IPRO teams. The event is the culmination of IPRO teamwork via exhibits and presentations. This semester, 67 IPRO teams are participating.
The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes undergraduate students from IIT’s colleges as multidisciplinary teams to work on complex, open-ended projects to tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from diverse fields, IPRO teams focus on a variety of topics from infrastructure planning, product and process innovation, renewable energy and sustainability, service learning and community development.
Fall 2013 IPRO corporate sponsors and community partners include iButtonLink, Bronzeville Urban Development, Sargent & Lundy LLC, Adler Planetarium, John G. Shedd Aquarium Quam Nichols Company and many more. Professionals from the Chicago area are invited to serve as judges and are welcome to attend as guests.
