POWERADE Jam Fest to be Held in Keating Sports Center

On Monday, March 27 the Keating Sports Center will be transformed to host one of high school basketball’s most prestigious events—the 2017 POWERADE® Jam Fest.

The event, which will be broadcast live nationally on ESPN2, is part of the McDonald’s All American Games and features the nation’s top high school male and female basketball players competing in a variety of events, including:

  • Legends & Stars Shootout
  • Three-Point Shootout
  • Slam Dunk Contest

The festivities precede the week’s main event, the 2017 McDonald’s All American Games, which will be held on Wednesday, March 29 at the United Center.

“Jam Fest is a national event which will bring some visibility to Illinois Tech’s campus,” said Illinois Tech Director of Athletics Joe Hakes. “Keating Sports Center is a great venue to have the best high school basketball players in the country show off their skills. This shows the advantage of being in Chicago and Illinois Tech’s reputation in the world’s greatest city.”

Tickets to the POWERADE Jam Fest can be purchased here. Doors open at 6 p.m. The contest begins at 7 p.m.

The Keating Sports Center will be shutdown for the entire day on Monday, March 27 in preparation of the event. In addition, the main court will be offline from Friday, March 24 until Tuesday, March 28.
