Illinois Institute of Technology Boeing Scholars Academy has volunteer opportunities available for adult professionals looking for a short-term assignment from July 2014 – April 2015. Serve as a Project Mentor to a small group of high school juniors, called Scholars, as they apply science, technology, engineering, and math skills to complete a Leadership Grant Project of their own design. These projects address a real-world problem that Scholars care about. Project Mentors volunteer about 10 hours per month to meet and advise their team of six to eight Scholars.

IIT Boeing Scholars Academy is also seeking undergraduate students that can volunteer as Assistant Project Mentors for about five hours per month from July 2014 – April 2015 to meet and provide additional support to Leadership Grant Project teams.

Apply to become a Project Mentor or Assistant Project Mentor by July 16, 2014. Fill out the volunteer application form, check the appropriate box to indicate type of volunteer interest, attend an interview and successfully complete a criminal background check.
