Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) is seeking comments from the public about Illinois Tech in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. Illinois Tech will host a visit September 26-27, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Previously, the most recent reaffirmation of accreditation for Illinois Tech by HLC occurred in 2006-2007.  Illinois Tech, formed by the merger of Armour Institute and Lewis Institute in 1940, first received accreditation in 1941.

For the HLC team visit during September 26-27, 2016, the public is invited to submit comments regarding Illinois Tech to the following address:

The public may also submit comments on HLC’s website at www.hlcommission.org/comment. Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments must be in writing. All comments must be received by September 28, 2016.
