Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) is seeking comments from the public about Illinois Tech in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. Illinois Tech will host a visit September 26-27, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.
Previously, the most recent reaffirmation of accreditation for Illinois Tech by HLC occurred in 2006-2007. Illinois Tech, formed by the merger of Armour Institute and Lewis Institute in 1940, first received accreditation in 1941.
