Pursuing Research Grants? Learn to Build a Research Team—October 21

If you’re serious about getting your research funded, you must understand how to form, join, or lead a research team. Collaborations of scientists from different fields are key to solving today’s research problems—and funders know it. Come learn from our panelists on Friday, October 21 from 1-3 p.m. in Hermann Hall Alumni Lounge about how research collaborations are launched. They will share a wealth of experience on building research teams. Illinois Tech’s Fund Searching Services Team (FSST!) has teamed up with panelists:

Hamid Arastopour, Henry R. Linden Professor of Engineering, director of the Wanger Institute for Sustainability and Energy Research (WISER)

Philip Troyk, associate dean of Armour College of Engineering, professor of biomedical engineering, professor, Stuart School of Business

Eun-Jeong Lee, associate professor of psychology, director of the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program

The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer period, with all three presenters as panelists.

This workshop is intended for Illinois Tech faculty members who seek grants, who want to understand how to form a research team, join a research team, or lead a research team.
