Are you passionate about gardening? Are you excited to use our new volunteer time off policy? If you answered yes to both questions, please join the Office of Community Affairs and New Community Outreach on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. This is the first cleaning and planting session for the season and New Community Outreach is excited to be back for a sixth season! Their garden is located at Jackie Robinson Elementary School (4225 S. Lake Park).

A few things to note:

• Meet at the flagpole in front of the school at 10am.
• Feel free to bring garden/work gloves if you have. We also have gloves you can borrow if needed.
• Projects for this session will include assembling new container gardens, cleaning a handful of the beds and then planting, and transporting some of the containers from one side of the school to the other.
• There are NO bathrooms on site. Please plan accordingly.
