“Raising Our Voices” Screening Part of IIT Chicago-Kent’s 2013-14 Documentary Film Series on Race

IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Documentary Film Series on Race will end for the semester at noon on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 with a screening of “Raising Our Voices” in the Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium located on the Downtown Campus. The screening is free and open to the public.

“Raising Our Voices” seeks to raise awareness about the increasing hate crimes and bias incidents affecting South Asian communities, especially in the late 1990s. Co-sponsored by IIT Chicago-Kent’s Diversity Committee and the law school’s organizations of students of color, the film series is presented in an effort to foster meaningful discussions about race.
