Men’s Basketball Freshman Forward Sam Rarick Earns All-Classic Honors

Men’s Basketball Freshman forward Sam Rarick earned All-Classic Honors when he was recently named to the 25th Annual Snyder Classic All-Tournament Team on Saturday, November 30 in Lincoln, Nebraska on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University.

The freshman scored 41 points on 17-26 shooting from the field, went 7-9 from the free throw line, and pulled down 11 rebounds.

“Sam established an inside presence early in the game and allowed us to manage tempo and create scoring opportunities for others. In addition to his outstanding performance on the blocks, Sam also set the tone defensively with his work on the glass in addition to taking several charges. This was by far Sam’s best performance of the year and Sam has the ability to become a dominant low post player which will critical to the success of the Scarlet Hawks,” said Head Coach Enzley Mitchell.

The Men’s Basketball team will play again on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 when they travel to Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan.
