The U.S. Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office (BTO) will hold a two-day workshop on windows and building envelope technology on Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1 on Illinois Tech’s Mies (Main) Campus in the John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center.
Roughly 100 experts from industry, national labs, and academia are expected to attend the workshop, which will focus on advanced technologies for energy efficiencies in commercial and residential buildings in line with DOE goals. The workshop will solicit participants’ input for future research opportunities including technologies related to High R-value windows, dynamic windows, advanced insulation and building envelope materials, characterization tools and processes, and new research opportunities.
The workshop is hosted by the Department of Physics at Illinois Tech. Registration is by invitation. If you wish to attend, please contact Ali Khounsary (akhounsa@iit.edu).
