Author of The 2-Hour Job Search, Steve Dalton, will be conducting a presentation in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Auditorium and Ballroom on Monday, October 12, 2015. Dalton will illustrate how to use technology to get the right job faster, using specific, tangible methods rather than general tips or advice. Dalton is a senior career consultant and Program Director for Daytime Career Services at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his concepts are taught at more than 30 universities worldwide.

1:15-2:30 p.m. – How to Quickly Identify and Rank Target Employers

2:45-4 p.m. – How to Efficiently Turn Strangers into Advocates
4:30-5:30 p.m. – Train the Trainer*
5:30 p.m. Light Refreshments
* The “Train the Trainer” session will be attended by staff but is also open to students/alumni interested in learning how to teach this process to others. It is a 30 minute session where Mr. Dalton will go through issues that trainers (practitioners and student mentors) are likely to encounter in helping others through the 2HJS methods, followed by a discussion specific to Illinois Tech students and staff.
