Naming and regularly reviewing beneficiaries (and updating if necessary) is important to ensure that your funds and benefit amounts will be distributed according to your wishes in the event of your death. Fortunately, doing so is quick and easy for your retirement plan account(s), HSA accounts, and life insurance.
- Fidelity: Log in to your Fidelity Net Benefits account, click on the Profile link, select Beneficiaries, and follow the prompts to review and update as necessary. If you prefer not to list your beneficiaries online, you may continue to list them on paper forms. Forms are available on the HR Portal Forms and Retirement Plan pages. Please note that they should be sent directly to Fidelity.
- TIAA: Log in to your account at www.tiaa.org, click on My Profile, and select the box to add/update beneficiaries. If you prefer not to list your beneficiaries online, you may continue to list them on paper forms. Forms are available on the HR Portal Forms and Retirement Plan pages. Please note that they should be sent directly to TIAA.
- HSA Bank (for HDHP health plan members only): Log in to your account at www.hsabank.com, click on Profile, and add or update beneficiaries from there.
- BCBS Ancillary (formerly Dearborn National) Life Insurance: Beneficiary information is not housed online at this time, except for new employees who have completed the form in the new People Admin Employee Records system. Please contact Viktoria Rill or Anjuli Rabindranath in Human Resources if you have questions or would like to confirm your beneficiaries on file. If you’d like to update your beneficiaries, we can easily get you set up in the Employee Records system so you can securely upload a revised beneficiary form.
