Safe on Campus “Train the Trainer” Workshop for Faculty and Staff

Please join the Office of Campus Life for a Safe on Campus “Train the Trainer” Workshop. The Safe on Campus program, designed for staff, faculty and students, is an ally training program that works to create a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and all students. By attending the Safe on Campus training, you indicate that you are a member of the IIT community who does not tolerate anti-GLBT violence and harassment, and that you are dedicated to creating a space where anyone can relax and be fully self-expressed without the fear of being uncomfortable or unwelcome.

The Train the Trainer Workshop is designed for staff and faculty only. If you are a staff or faculty member that has gone through a Safe on Campus workshop in the past, we would love you to join our team of trainers. By having a team of trainers, we are hoping to be able to offer the training, taught by two trainers, multiple times throughout the semester, as well as offer it for student organizations and departments.

The train the trainer workshop will be held from 9 am – 12 pm on Tuesday August 7, 2012.

If you are interested in becoming a Trainer for the Safe on Campus program, please contact Alex Garrett at alex.garrett@iit.edu to RSVP.
