Navigating the Career Fair: Interviews and Resumes
Tuesday, September 5 and Friday, September 8
Students will learn how to research, set-up, and conduct informational interviews. Don’t know what the TIARA method is? Come find out. These events are mandatory if you would like to be a Career Fair VIP.
Presentation Skills with Daniel Moser
Daniel Moser is a well-credentialed professional who specializes in the art and science of communications training for professionals in technical fields. Attend his interactive lecture where you will have a chance to rehearse your elevator speech.
Career Fair Prep Night
Attend this event to have the opportunity to refine and practice communication techniques with employers and hear their feedback on the spot.
Navigating the Career Fair: Company Research and Interview Basics

See which companies will be attending the Career Fair and learn about their work, culture, and recruiting needs so you can be prepared for your interactions with them. These events are mandatory if you would like to be a Career Fair VIP.
Industry-Based Career Fair
Wednesday, September 20 and Thursday, September 21
Attend Illinois Tech’s Career Fair for a great opportunity to meet company representatives looking to hire talented students. You also can get tips for the career search process from students who are getting ready to graduate or alumni who are back to recruit more outstanding talent.
Weekly Modules Every Tuesday and Friday
This six-series workshop, starting the week after the Career Fair, is designed to introduce students to the world of work and teach the specific skills needed to conduct a successful job search.
Career Crash Course
Though designed for graduating students, all are welcome to attend this event and learn job search strategies such as personal branding, building a personal profile, networking, and interviewing.
