The Illinois Tech Baseball, Women’s Lacrosse, and Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams will all be in action this week. Below is a rundown of each contest the Scarlet Hawk teams will compete in throughout the week. Women’s Lacrosse (13-1, 8-0 in Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference play) will play arguably the most important match of the four-year history of the program on Saturday, April 22. The Scarlet Hawks currently sit tied atop the MWLC standings at 8-0 with Concordia University Wisconsin, who will come to Stuart Field for a 7 p.m. match. The Falcons have reached the MWLC and reached the NCAA Division III Tournament the last two seasons, as the team’s last conference defeat was on May 2, 2014 in the MWLC Tournament Quarterfinals.
On April 22 the Scarlet Hawks have another important conference home match. Illinois Tech will host Aurora University, who currently holds a 6-2 MWLC record, at Stuart Field at 1 p.m.

Baseball (10-18) is riding a four-game winning streak and has won eight of its last nine contests. The team has another jam-packed week, starting with a home game on Tuesday, April 18 (3 p.m.) against Kalamazoo College at Ed Glancy Field. The Hornets will be a good test for the Scarlet Hawks, possessing a 17-8 overall record. Live audio, video, and statistics will be available, with the live audio powered by Illinois Media School.
The Scarlet Hawks will hit the road for a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend. Illinois Tech will take on 14-10 Edgewood College for a 5 p.m. doubleheader on April 22 before a 3 p.m. doubleheader at 12-13 Rockford University on Sunday, April 23. Men’s and Women’s Track and Field look to build off of a strong weekend in Lisle with an April 22 meet at Concordia University Chicago. The Scarlet Hawks will compete in CUC’s Cougar Invite in nearby River Forest. The meet is set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
