Scarlet Hawks Weekly—Illinois Tech Invite Headlines Opening Week

This week six Scarlet Hawks teams will be in action including three events at home.

Men’s Soccer will be busy at Stuart Field this weekend, as the Scarlet Hawks will host the Illinois Tech Invite. Manchester University, UW-Whitewater, and Simpson College will all visit Stuart Field, with each team playing two matches between Friday and Sunday.

Illinois Tech will play its two weekend matches on September 1 at 7 p.m. against Manchester and September 3 at 3:30 p.m. against Simpson. For all tournament matches, live stats, audio, and video will be available via links on the Men’s Soccer schedule page. The live audio will be powered by the Illinois Media School.

Women’s Soccer will also play a home match at Stuart Field this weekend. The team will open its season on September 2 at 11:30 a.m. in Anderson, Indiana, at Anderson University. On September 3, the Scarlet Hawks will open the home schedule against Trine University at 6 p.m. Live stats, audio, and video for both the road and home matches will be available via links on the Women’s Soccer schedule page. The live audio for the home game will be powered by Illinois Media School.

Women’s Tennis  will host both North Park University (9:30 a.m.) and Wisconsin Lutheran College (3:30 p.m.) at nearby Dunbar Park. NPU and WLC will also oppose each other at 12:30 p.m.

The Scarlet Hawks will also be in action on Labor Day, hitting the road for a matchup at Beloit College on Monday, September 4 at 4 p.m.

Women’s Volleyball has a busy week as well, as last year’s USCAA Tournament Quarterfinalists will head to Atlanta, Georgia, for a two-day tournament at Oglethorpe University. The Scarlet Hawks will oppose both Oglethorpe (3 p.m. CT) and Piedmont College (5:30 p.m. CT) on September 2 before taking on Columbia College (South Carolina) at 10 a.m CT on September 3. Men’s and Women’s Cross Country open up the season on September 1, traveling to nearby Elmhurst, Illinois, for Elmhurst College’s Earlybird Invite at Eldridge Park. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m.
