Scarlet Hawks Weekly—Scarlet Hawk Invite Headlines Jam-Packed Week

This week will be a busy one for the Scarlet Hawks, as seven teams will combine for more than 15 contests.

Women’s Volleyball headlines the week with the Scarlet Hawk Invite, a two-day, two-court tournament on Friday, September 29 (3 p.m.) and Saturday, September 30 (9 a.m.) at the Keating Sports Center.

The Scarlet Hawks will play four contests over the two days on top of a mid-week road contest. Below is a schedule for Women’s Volleyball:

  • September 29 – 3 p.m. vs. UC Clermont,  7 p.m. vs. Anderson
  • September 30 – 11 a.m. vs. Olivet, 1 p.m. vs. Albion

Women’s Soccer will also be busy, playing three times this week and hosting two matches. The Scarlet Hawks, fresh off a 7-0 victory over Maranatha and a Scarlet Hawk Player of the Week selection in Julia Taliana, will host Cleary University on September 30 at 2 p.m. before a Sunday, October 1 road match (3 p.m.) at Knox College.

Men’s Soccer will face Ripon on October 1 (3:30 p.m.). The Scarlet Hawks are looking to build off of a double overtime win last week against Saint Mary’s (Minnesota), a match in which Alex Kern delivered a Scarlet Hawk of the Week worthy performance.

After a very successful weekend at ITA Regionals, Women’s Tennis returns to Illinois for action at Lake Forest College. The Scarlet Hawks will play the hosts on October 1 at 9 a.m. before opposing Aurora University at 4 p.m.

Men’s Tennis competed in its first match in team history on September 27 against Judson College. They will compete in the ITA Regionals in Kalamazoo, Michigan, starting on September 29.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country resume action this week as well, heading to Wisconsin Lutheran on September 30. The Warrior Invite is set to begin at noon.
