Scholarships for underrepresented students

The Illinois Louis Stokes STEM Pathway and Research Alliance (ILSPRA) Scholarship program supports undergraduate research in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), architecture, and psychology. The ILSPRA program is designed to promote developed and undeveloped undergraduate research projects. Scholarship amounts typically range from $1,000 to $4,000.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents from racial groups underrepresented in STEM careers (African-American, Latinx-American, Native-American).

The application deadline is October 31, 2022.

Students may work with their faculty mentors to complete the ILSPRA application. It is expected that the application must be written and completed from the student’s perspective. Applications written by the student’s advisor will not be accepted. Please note that this program is competitive in nature, and not all applicants may be funded.
