Join fellow students, faculty, staff, and alumni for the Homecoming lecture “Science: The Raw Fuel of Innovation” by College of Science Dean Russell Betts on Friday, September 27 at 1 pm in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center Auditorium.
There can be little argument that discoveries in basic science have led to remarkable innovations with profound impact on the world we live in and on our lives. Betts will explore how this happens and how we can ensure that this process continues into the future. He will discuss specific innovations such as MRI as well as the processes, the environments, and the people that made them happen.
