Aliza Miller, third year undecided science major, was named runner up in the senior category of the Young Tech Challenge at Navy Pier last semester. The challenge, part of Chicago Toy and Game Week, gave creators age eight through 22 an opportunity to present their idea for a new technology-based game to top play industry experts.
Miller’s game was a card game that was designed to teach students coding in a fun and unintimidating way. She created a supplemental app that provided details on the game’s rules and instructions. As runner-up she was awarded a cash prize and a Micronoid robot by Spin Master, which was this year’s sponsor of the challenge.
