WAUKESHA, Wis.—The Illinois Tech women’s lacrosse team has earned yet another Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Player of the Week award, as Shanie Scoles was named the league’s offensive honoree for the second time this season. This week’s award, voted on by the league’s sports information directors, spans action from April 1–7.
Just a sophomore, Scoles dominated in Tech’s three matches this week, tallying 19 goals, 3 assists, 22 points, and 16 draw controls. She had a 9 goal, 2 assist, 5 draw control performance in Monday’s 18-6 win at Wartburg College before scoring five times against both Hamline University and Augsburg University last weekend. The Scarlet Hawks lost 15-8 to Hamline and defeated Augsburg 13-6.
