Sheldon H. Nahmod Civil Rights Awards

unnamed.jpgThe Sheldon H. Nahmod Civil Rights Awards will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 3–5 p.m. in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Ballroom.

Looking within the Illinois Institute of Technology community for civil rights advocates, no one embraces the immediacy of the civil rights movement quite like Sheldon H. Nahmod, a professor at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. His amazing work in supporting civil rights and civil liberties inspires Illinois Tech faculty, staff, and students. As a result, in January 2010 the Sheldon H. Nahmod Civil Rights Award was established to honor members of the campus community who are working to progress the civil rights movement. The Office of Spiritual Life, Diversity, and Service is proud to announce the recipients of the 2015 Sheldon H. Nahmod IIT Civil Rights Awards:
