Many IIT staff and faculty have expressed interest in learning more about Shimer College’s dialogue-based educational style. Shimer is pleased to offer two opportunities this fall semester during the Weekend program (which meets seven times during the fall) for IIT staff/faculty to experience it first-hand.

IIT staff may register for a free interdisciplinary course titled “Relationships.” The course meets from 11:20 am – 12:35 pm on applicable Sundays, and is limited to the first twelve IIT and/or VanderCook staff who register. IIT staff and faculty are invited to take one of the Shimer introductory courses in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences at a greatly reduced cost of $1,000, which includes tuition, books, and lunch. Detailed information including how to register is available here.
