Special Invitation to Future of Higher Education Launch Forum – April 3

Illinois Tech faculty and staff are invited to attend Illinois Tech’s Launch Forum for the exploration of the Future of Higher Education on Tuesday, April 3 from 12:30–1:30 p.m in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Ballroom. Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with each other to think strategically, creatively, and revolutionarily about the future of higher education. This interactive, out-of-the-box session will feature a professional facilitator from the Institute of Design during which everyone will be encouraged to contribute their ideas and engage with others. Lunch will be provided.

Although there is no need to RSVP and last-minute attendees are welcome, it would help us coordinate logistics if we had an idea of how many may attend. Express your interest here.

The University Faculty Council, the Staff Advisory Council, and Academic Affairs are co-sponsoring this event with the following objectives:

  • To contribute toward a campus culture of communication and collaboration
  • To constructively provide ideas and perspectives to the university’s strategic planning committees
  • To share out-of-the box creativity-sparking methods that could be applied to work and life
  • To inspire a different kind of professional development and growth among participants

This is just the beginning. The launch forum is the first step in an ongoing, evolving experiment. We welcome and value participation from Illinois Tech’s faculty and staff throughout the journey.
