Spring registration is here. If students still have a balance with IIT, the Office of Student Accounting will issue a hold on their account that will prevent students from registering for spring classes. Now is the time to submit any requested documentation to the Office of Financial Aid if students plan to finance their bill using federal or state aid.
If students have reviewed their financial aid requirements and are confused about the financial aid process or requested documentation, please stop by the office in Perlstein Hall, Room 206 during their counseling hours of noon–3 p.m., Monday–Friday. They have a team of financial aid counselors ready to help students with any questions or concerns.
If students have a balance and have exhausted their federal and state financial aid options, they may want to consider a private loan. If a private loan is not an option, it is important to start a conversation about their situation with a representative from the Office of Student Accounting. Remember, it is better to address any uncertainty now than wait and have a larger problem later in the term.
