“Stand!”: An Evening with Rev. Brenda Girton-Mitchell from the U.S. Department of Education

The Office of Spiritual Life and Service Learning is hosting an event featuring IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law alumna, Rev. Brenda Girton-Mitchell at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 31, 2014 in the Engineering 1 Building Auditorium. 

Girton-Mitchell serves as the Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships for the U.S. Department of Education and has more than 30 years experience as a teacher, legal counsel and minister.

At the event, she will speak about the intersection of women, faith, and education and how it relates to this month’s Book Club selection, I AM MALALA. A question and answer session will follow.
