There’s Still Time to 3-D Print Your Gifts

Still trying to find that perfect gift? Have you thought about printing a customized gift on the Paul V. Galvin Library’s 3-D printers?

The Exploration Space is open Monday and Tuesday, December 22 and 23, and is staffed from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., so you can even get advice before you print. Find a design on Thingiverse.com and read the library’s guide to printing. If you have questions or need assistance, you can email or stop by to ask library staff for help. Most print jobs cost between $2–$10; you can pay online by credit card.

What can you print? Cookie cutters, phone covers, snowflakes, Minions, Christmas ornaments, noted Chicago buildings—and so much more. More information can be found in the library’s guide.

Make it a “Happy Holiday” with gifts for all.
