Stress Free Programming and Study Spaces

Stress free programming and study spaces are available for Illinois Tech students during final exams week.

Stress Free Zone Activities:

Note: Monday – Saturday: All rooms in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) are reserved for study space. MTCC Ballroom will be full of extension cords and power strips for laptops. Color rooms are reserved for quiet study spaces. MTCC 516 is available for group projects. MTCC Executive Conference Room is open for students to practice presentations. The BOG/Commuter Lounge is open for studying with the back area set up with tables for studying and only ‘elevator music’ will be played. MTCC Ballroom may also have snacks and other smaller, passive activities every day for study breaks.

Sunday, December 6

Scarlet Hawk Screech. Yell for a stress break in the Quad, 4 p.m.

Monday, December 7

Toby the therapy dog at the Galvin Library, 12:30 p.m.

Giant Bubble Wrap Popping Event. MTCC Welcome Center, 2-4 p.m.

Half-priced late night coffee. Global Grounds, 8-11 p.m.

Kinetic Sand: Create or Meditate. Galvin Library, 2-7 p.m.

Study Break Workshop: Traditional Coffee and Tea Cupping. Galvin Library, noon-2 p.m.

Movie Showing: Elf. MTCC Auditorium, 7 p.m.
