Stuart School of Business Team Wins Chicago Round of the CFA Research Challenge

The Stuart School of Business team has won the Chicago round of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute’s Annual Research Challenge, finishing first against teams from Loyola University Chicago (2nd), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (3rd), University of Illinois at Chicago, and Valparaiso University. Team members include team leader Salonie Sehgal, Venkata Chintaluri, Thai (Samuel) Doan, Ming-Tao Lee, and Rasinee (Por) Pongchairerks. Providing expert coaching to the team is faculty advisor Michael Rybak, senior lecturer of finance. This win marks the fifth time in five years a Stuart team has placed in the Chicago Local Level Final competition and the fourth time the team has won. They now advance to the Regional Final competition, where they will represent the CFA Chicago Chapter.
