Study Abroad Initial Permission Deadline Extended

Have you been thinking about studying abroad, but you think that the deadline is too close?

Well, you are in luckā€”the deadline to submit initial permission forms to IIT has been extended through March 1. This deadline extension is only good for non-ARCH and non-GE3 programs.

This deadline is not for you to have completed your full application to your host program. Those are often a little bit later in the semester. This deadline is only for your basic bio sheet and advisor permission to go abroad. We’ll work on the host university application together, if you are approved!

For GE3 programs (special to engineers and computer science students), the deadline will only be able to be extended through February 22, as the program deadline to submit all materials is March 1.

For ARCH programs, the priority deadline for all fall, spring, and AY programs was February 8. If you missed the priority deadline, you can submit your materials, but some spots on popular programs may already be filled, so choose some back-ups!

For summer faculty-led ARCH programs, the deadline remains February 25.

So, check out our programs on the Study Abroad website, and email Ashley.Sinclair@iit.edu if you have any questions.
