Illinois Institute of Technology’s strategic priorities include supporting the development of “leaders who are internationally sophisticated and globally aware.” Studying abroad has a deep impact on students’ academic and personal development and helps students prepare for life after graduation. Faculty-led programs can make it easier for some students who face financial, academic, or personal barriers to add an international experience to their education.
The Study Abroad Office is actively seeking faculty who may be interested in leading a study abroad program during Summer 2015. Program models vary and can accommodate diverse ranges of faculty experience and involvement.
Interested participants can get started by visiting the Study Abroad website. Links to the Handbook for Program Development and sample forms are on the website. Faculty are encouraged to speak with Jennifer Sherdan, coordinator of Study Abroad, to discuss their interests and ideas related to leading a program.
This event reflects the values expressed in IIT’s Diversity Statement and is intended to promote diversity at IIT.
