Summer classes can be a good opportunity to help you graduate on time or ahead of schedule, and they can also be a great way to lighten your load during the school year.
Undergraduate students who receive institutional scholarships will also receive a summer scholarship. Summer scholarships cover the same percentage of your tuition that your scholarships cover during the academic year. Illinois Tech summer scholarships are disbursed on the first day of Summer Session A, which began Monday, May 18.
Federal aid will disburse on Monday, June 1, provided that the student is eligible and has satisfied any outstanding requirements on their myIIT portal. Pell Grant recipients enrolled in 6+ undergraduate hours are eligible for a June 1 disbursement. Pell Grant recipients enrolled in fewer than 6 undergraduate hours may be eligible to use a portion of their 2020-21 Pell Grant. Eligible students will be reviewed during June for a July Pell Grant disbursement, as staff cannot disburse 2020-21 aid until July.
Unless instructed otherwise, all summer classes are being held remotely.
Although the Office of Financial Aid is currently working remotely, you can call, email, or schedule a video chat appointment to speak with a counselor. You can find details on how to contact the Office of Financial Aid here.
