Summer IPRO Day – July 27

The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students to apply their creativity through complex, open-ended projects that tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from diverse fields, IPRO teams broadly span new venture development, product and digital service design, urban livability and manufacturing revitalization, global health and wellbeing, renewable energy and sustainability, urban agriculture, robotics, STEM education, community engagement, public safety, and other contemporary topics.

Summer 2018 IPRO teams have been developing and prototyping concepts for the museums of the future, place-making experiences for the Chinatown community, innovations in neuromuscular and stroke rehabilitation, recycling solutions for Chicago and Illinois Tech, and big data visualization of public safety innovations that support responsiveness to fire emergencies for American Red Cross with support from Motorola Solutions Foundation. In addition, an IPRO Abroad team is currently at Beijing Institute of Technology to explore product design innovations.

The IPRO Day event is the culmination of IPRO team work via interactive exhibits. The Summer 2018 IPRO Day Showcase will take place on Friday, July 27 from 10 a.m.–noon in the lobby of IIT Tower.

Illinois Tech faculty, staff, alumni, and professionals from the Chicago area are invited to serve as judges and welcome to attend as guests. Register here.
