Summer Term 2016 Student Loan Deadline

The Office of Financial Aid would like to remind students that the last day to accept federal student loans for the summer 2016 semester is Monday, August 1. If your student loans are currently in “Offered” status and you need them to finance your educational or living expenses, be certain to accept them ASAP.

As a reminder, all students need to sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and complete Loan Entrance Counseling before the Office of Financial Aid can disburse your loan. You can do this at www.studentloans.gov. For reference, it takes the Department of Education three-five business days to process any updates to your account and inform the Office of Financial Aid. To learn more about student loans and the loan process, visit our website.

If you have any questions or would like to decline a loan(s) you previously accepted on your myIIT portal, contact us at finaid@iit.edu or 312.567.7219. As a reminder, our office hosts walk-in hours Monday through friday from noon-3 p.m.
