Registration is now open for TADHack Global 2018, which will take place on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. For the fifth year running, TADHack Global is the largest telecom-focused hackathon in the world. Previous hacks include programmable telecoms (voice, video, messaging), internet of things, cloud computing, robotics, machine learning, speech and face recognition, mobile payments, enterprise communications, decentralized web, blockchain, encryption, open source, and many other technologies. Last year’s conference saw 3300 registrations, resulting in close to 150 hacks and more than $45,000 in cash prizes. Learn more about 2017’s TADHack.
Illinois Tech’s University Technology Park will be one of 20+ locations running in parallel around the world. The Real-Time Communications Lab at Illinois Tech has been proud to partner with TADHack Global beginning with the inaugural event in June 2014. The lab has since hosted four additional TADHack’s with increased participation at each, and we’re expecting another record crowd this fall. As a result, we advise early registration in anticipation of a capacity crowd.

TADHack Global has been scheduled this year to coincide with the 14th Annual Illinois Tech RTC Conference Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17. We’ll be inviting the winners of the Chicago TADHack location to participate by delivering their demo pitch to an audience of 200+ real-time communications thought leaders from around the globe as part of a keynote presentation on Programmable Telecoms Evolution.
Attendees will learn about adding programmable telecoms to apps, services or business; be able to share your experiences with others; do some “coding”; and potentially create a winning hack that makes a difference in your community.
