Undergraduates: There’s Still Time to Enter the 61st Annual Writing Contest!

The Department of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences is accepting submissions for its 61st annual writing contest. All spring 2026 full-time Illinois Tech undergraduate students (students who are currently taking at least 12-credit hours) are invited to submit original pieces of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, one-act plays, freshman essays, and philosophy. The deadline for submissions has been extended by one week! Submissions are now due by Thursday, March 26, at 11:59 p.m.

The Department of Humanities is accepting submissions for its 59th annual writing contest. Winners will be announced on or after Wednesday, March 27, 2024, on the Lewis College of Science and Letters website. An in-person awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 12:45–1:45 p.m.
