Take Classes at VanderCook College of Music

Whether you’ve been playing music for years or want to learn an instrument for the first time, you can take courses at VanderCook College of Music. Join us for private lessons, or play in the Symphonic Band, Concert Choir, or Philharmonic Orchestra. Registration for Illinois Tech students interested in taking VanderCook classes is open now and continues into the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. Taking classes at VanderCook is not only fun and exciting, but it can replace a humanities credit or even earn you a music minor!

For the 2020/2021 academic year, Illinois Tech has set the semesterly fee at $500/semester. This fee covers private lessons on one instrument and as many other classes or ensembles you would like to take. If you are interested in taking private lessons on more than one instrument in a given semester, you are permitted to do so; however, the fee will have to be paid twice.

Simply complete the registration form and pay Illinois Tech $500 toward tuition, they cover the rest. Once you complete the online form, please send a copy of your receipt to Admissionsteam@vandercook.edu. Registration ends Friday, January 22.
