IIT Stuart School of Business Students Win First Place in CQA Investment Challenge

ad3c8fc975fc9746dc219693_280x186.jpgIIT Stuart School of Business took first place in the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) Investment Challenge, ranking first out of 28 schools. Congratulations to the team, which included undergraduate student Lisa Lee, and M.S. finance students Bingqing He, Changjiang Bi, Hang Gong, Lin Zeng, Shailesh Kakkar.

The challenge, which ran October 31, 2014 through March 31, 2015, is an equity portfolio management competition offering students the opportunity to learn and apply stock selection and portfolio management skills. IIT Stuart ranked third after submitting its video pitch presentation in February and then created an investment report to fulfill the next submission requirement. John Wightkin, director of equity research applications at Charles Schwab, served as the team’s mentor, and John Bilson, associate dean and professor of finance, served as advisor.
