The Clothesline Project

Clothesline project.jpg

The Clothesline Project is a program that was started in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. Illinois Tech is expanding our version of the Clothesline Project to allow all people affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt, which will hang on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of sexual assault. Shirts and decorating supplies will be available on Tuesday, April 26 from 12:30-2 p.m. on The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Bridge, so all students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to stop by and add your message to our clothesline. Additionally, you are welcome to decorate your own shirt and add it to the clothesline, or drop it off in the Office of Campus Life anonymously.
