The IIT Student Government Association, in conjunction with Monkey Bars, is presenting: The Re-Imagination Challenge from 11 am on Saturday, March 29 through 2 pm on Sunday, March 30 in the Idea Shop. This event is sponsored by IIT, the Institute of Design, Google and O’Reilly Books.
Do you think you can reduce the fire alarms in McCormick Student Village? Can you solve the issue of puddles on campus? Students are encouraged to gather teams together to improve the University in this Hackathon-style challenge. All students are welcome to participate. Teams are not necessary. Individuals can sign up and create a team the day of the challenge. Here is some additional information:
1. Students do not need to have technical or coding skills to participate. Anyone with an idea or the urge to improve something on campus is encouraged to join.
2. Since this is a 24-hour long event, food will be provided the entire time.
3. The winning ideas will be housed within SGA and may be implemented on campus within the next year (or longer, depending on the scope of the idea.)
4. A total of $5000 will be distributed to help implement winning ideas
