The Sharing Table Welcomes the Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program

You are invited to meet 24 high school students from eight African countries (Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mauritius, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda) at the Sharing Table from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014, in The Commons Cafeteria located in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center.

Illinois Institute of Technology is a partner with World Chicago and FHI 360 (Washington, DC partner organization) to host participants in the “Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program,” under the auspices of the State Department’s Office of Citizen Exchanges.

During the student’s 10-day visit to Chicago, IIT has been instrumental in providing an entrepreneurial experience, where they learned to develop solutions to problems they face at home.

This program aims to help foster personal interaction between undergraduates, graduate students and faculty. You are welcome to come and engage in spirited conversation about hobbies, culture, sports, or current events while dining in The Commons. The Sharing Table will be held on the first Thursday of each month during the academic term and this is the last event for the semester.
