Theatre Auditions for 33rd Street Productions

The auditions for 33rd Street Productions’ fall semester plays will be held Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. in the Hermann Hall Auditorium. Callbacks will be on Friday, September 4.

All Illinois Tech students, alumni, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in these auditions and shows.

33rd Street Productions will be putting on three shows this semester. They are as follows:

  1. Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays (Friday, September 25 Saturday, September 26)
  2. Tales of Torture, Mystery, and The Macabre (Saturday, October 17)
  3. Avenue Q

If you wish to audition for either Standing On Ceremony or Tales of Torture, Mystery, and The Macabre please prepare the following:

  • One short cold reading for provided play. (A monologue will be provided for Tales)

If you wish to audition only for Avenue Q, please prepare the following:

  • One comedic monologue (one-two minutes long)
  • One song from Avenue Q (click here for a list of approved songs)

The acting portion of Avenue Q will consist of one short comedic monologue. Actors can choose their own comedic monologue, or can perform two of our choices.

If you wish to audition for all three shows, please prepare the following:

  • One short cold read for provided play (A monologue will be provided for Tales)
  • One comedic monologue (one-two minutes long)
  • One song from Avenue Q (click here for a list of approved songs)
