Pat Johnson-Winston, director of academic writing and thesis examiner, Graduate College, and Charles Uth, senior engineering librarian, Paul V. Galvin Library, are partnering to offer the following Thesis and Dissertation Workshops:

Thesis and Dissertation Workshop I: Navigating the Thesis/Dissertation Journey
Thursday, March 22
12:15–1:45 p.m. or 4–5:30 p.m.
The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Auditorium

Thesis and Dissertation Workshop II: Online Research via Galvin Library
Tuesday, March 27
12:15–1:15 p.m. or 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Learning Library Center (LLC) at Galvin Library

The first workshop will provide an overview of topics related to document design, formatting, library resources and research tools, bibliographic styles, plagiarism, and copyright guidelines.

The second workshop is a hands-on interactive session to introduce students to methods for accessing Galvin Library’s online publications and best practices for conducting online research.

Each workshop is offered twice to accommodate as many students as possible, and students may attend more than one. The workshops are primarily for students who are either beginning the thesis writing process or have more writing to do. However, anyone may attend.

There is no cost, but registration is required. Register here.
