Tomorrow (August 25): Don’t Miss the Kaplan Institute Groundbreaking

Tomorrow’s the big day. Don’t miss the groundbreaking of the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship tomorrow (Thursday, August 25) at noon in the area north of Hermann Hall. Be sure to check tomorrow’s issue of Illinois Tech Today for inclement weather details.

Don’t forget to wear your favorite red Illinois Tech gear to help us paint the campus red. If you don’t have Illinois Tech gear, there’s still time to pick up your brand new Illinois Tech t-shirt from Institutional Advancement. Bring your ID and head to the 17th floor of the IIT Tower Wednesday, August 24 between the hours of noon–4:30 p.m.. One shirt per person will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Following the groundbreaking, we’ll move the party to Man on a Bench Park for a carnival-style reception featuring live music from WIIT, inflatables, and lots of fun you won’t want to miss.

If you can’t make it in person, follow along virtually. Watch the livestream online or from the televisions in Life Sciences, John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center, or The McCormick Tribune Campus Center. For an even more unique online experience, download the Vamonde app for free from the iTunes Store for additional photos, videos, and sneak peeks into the Kaplan Institute.
