Illinois Tech accepts applications each fall for Tuition Exchange scholarships, and we have some exciting changes this year!

What’s new:

• Faculty and staff may apply for scholarships for their spouses and themselves for undergraduate study in addition to dependent children (previously, only applications for dependent children were accepted).
• Faculty and staff must have attained one year of service by January 1 for the fall semester they are applying for, E.g., those applying for fall 2023 must have attained one year of service by January 1, 2023 (previously, the requirement was two years of service).

What is Tuition Exchange?

Illinois Tech is a member of the Tuition Exchange, a nonprofit organization of more than 600 colleges and universities that agree to a reciprocal scholarship program. Visit www.tuitionexchange.org for a listing of participating schools and more details about how the exchange works.

Faculty and staff may apply for a scholarship for an eligible dependent as long as they meet the criteria below. To be considered a candidate for a tuition exchange scholarship through Illinois Tech, the family member must be an eligible dependent of an eligible employee at Illinois Tech.

Eligible Employees

Any full-time faculty or staff member in good employment standing and meeting the minimum of one year of full time employment at Illinois Tech by January 1 of the year for which the dependent is a candidate (for the 2023–2024 academic year, hire date must be January 1, 2022, or earlier).

Eligible Dependents

Any born or adopted child of an eligible Illinois Tech employee. The child must be a dependent as defined by the IRS. (Appropriate proof may be requested).

The award is for new first-year students and continuing students, to begin with the fall 2023 semester.

Application Process for Awards for academic year beginning fall 2023:

• Employees wishing to apply for Tuition Exchange should complete the online application available here: TE EZ Application.
• Please select 2023-2024 for the Application Year.

The application period will begin on August 30 and will close on Friday, September 30, 2021. Only applications submitted by 5 p.m. on September 30 will be considered. Questions, comments, or concerns can be directed to Viktoria Rill at vrill@iit.edu.
