U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Appoints Manu Vora (M.S. CHE ’70, Ph.D. ’75) Fulbright Specialist

dr-manu-vora-picThe U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has appointed Manu Vora (M.S. CHE ’70, Ph.D. ’75) a Fulbright Specialist. The appointment is for a five-year term from 2016-2021. As a Fulbright Specialist, Vora will be eligible to be matched with incoming project requests from overseas academic institutions for Fulbright Specialists.

Vora is chairman and president of Business Excellence, Inc., a global quality management consulting service firm. He has over 40 years of leadership experience guiding Fortune 500 companies with Baldrige Performance Excellence framework. He is a past vice president from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Board of Directors. He is an ASQ Fellow and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). He served as the chief judge at the Illinois Team Excellence Award Program from 1993-1999. He is a senior examiner of the Asia Pacific Global Performance Excellence Award Program since 2004. In 1968, he received a J. N. Tata Scholarship to pursue his graduate studies in the United States. He is recipient of “2013 Keller Graduate School of Management’s Top 40 Alumni for the 40th Anniversary.” and “2012 IIT Chicago Alumni Medal.”
