Architectural Engineering Professor Jamshid Mohammadi is accepting applications for IIT undergraduate students to participate in preliminary research related to the Security theme of the Engineering Themes initiative. Specific topics are:

1. Lessons learned from activities following the NATO summit
2. Current emergency preparedness and evacuation planning methods in urban areas
3. People mobility and alternative planning for evacuation at the time of emergency

Up to three undergraduate students will be accepted for this project. Students should have prior knowledge in searching for information from many sources and compiling summary reports of their results. This is a great opportunity for engineering undergraduate students to gain practical, real-world experience in the Security theme.
