In keeping with recent health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Tech will no longer require face coverings indoors or outdoors as of April 5. Of course, campus community members are welcome and encouraged to continue wearing face coverings if they prefer to do so.
As always, the university will continue to follow applicable federal, state, and city public health guidelines, and it anticipates reinstating masking requirements in the event that the CDC designates Cook County in the “high” COVID-19 community level category. The CDC’s current COVID-19 community levels can be found on
its website.

Thanks so much for all you do to advance the university’s mission while reducing the risk of COVID-19 across our community.
Sincerely,
Hilary Hudson Hosek
Associate Vice President, Head of Human Resources
