IIT Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar Valerie R. Raedy will represent the law school in the 2013 National Top Gun Mock Trial Competition held June 6 to 9 at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Raedy is one of only 16 law students nationwide to compete in this unique tournament.
IIT Chicago-Kent “Top Gun” Valerie Raedy graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in government and music from Lawrence University and Conservatory in Appleton, Wisconsin. As an undergraduate, she was team manager and a member of Lawrence’s mock trial team.
At IIT Chicago-Kent, Raedy is a 2014 candidate for a J.D. degree with a certificate in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. An Honors Scholar, she has been a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and the Trial Advocacy Team since 2012. Raedy was a member of the IIT Chicago-Kent teams that competed in the 2012 Tournament of Champions and the 2013 National Trial Competition’s regional tournament.
